1. Tax payments automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account. The Treasurer's office in cooperation with AMCORE Bank is offering this payment option at no charge to you. You do not have to have an account with AMCORE Bank to use this free service.

2. The State of Illinois E-Pay Program where credit cards can be used to make tax payments, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. There is a sliding convenience fee charged for this service. This fee, according to the amount of your taxes, is charged by the E-Pay Program and not charged or collected by the Winnebago County Treasurer's office. You can also call 1-877-455-3729 and pay with a credit card through the E-Pay Program.

To use online payments you first need to look up your tax bill by clicking the online property tax bill link until you reach the page that displays your 2007 Real Estate Taxes payable in 2008. This should be the third page you view.

Only payments for the full amount of the first and/or second installments plus penalty & cost, if paid late, can be accepted.
